Die Less Often 1

Introduction to the Interface of Gun, Knife, and Empty Hand
~featuring the synergy of Crafty Dog and Gabe Suarez

Evolutionary leaps occur when two or more structures band together in new ways. With this triple DVD the synergistic convergence of two men, each from different worlds, unveils a new paradigm-- the interface of gun, knife and empty hand.

When facing any of these dangerous possibilities, you want to have the cutting edge, high IQ responses that come from the synergy of Marc "Crafty Dog" Denny and Gabe Suarez.

In this DVD you will be shown how to frame the approach of potential problems and fence close quarter situations using "the Kali Fence" and how to intercept and defend against attacks from this position. Principal amongst these defenses is the innovative "Dog Catcher" which allows for one initial default response to the most common high and mid line attacks of empty hand and knife from which one can either access one's own weapons or respond empty handed. Your understanding of the material will be intensified by seeing it all tested in high pressure scenario testing. "If you see it taught, you see it fought." (c)

In my line of work it pays to keep on top of what is happening in the world of
self-protection. This is one of the reasons I regularly check out this web site.
I recently ordered the Die Less Often dvd's and to say I was impressed would be an understatement.
The content of this set has helped to transform my training. It would be great to see more of this type of stuff made available to those who work in law enforcement as I feel that it could help save lives. Thank you for your dedication to martial arts and continue to walk the way of the warrior.

Greetings all.

I first became familiar with the Interface of Gun, Knife and Empty Hand material back in August 2005 when Marc "Crafty Dog" Denny and Gabe Suarez first began contemplating this synthesis of material. At the time, I was the designated non-compliant, aggressive attacker in various scenarios which being 6'/220 lbs. allowed me some measure of game in this regard. During these practice sessions, Crafty first revealed his Dog Catcher paradigm. I am not exaggerating one bit when I say that Crafty was able to pick up 100% of the knife attacks (that I would typically associate with thug type attacks on the street or in prison) I threw his way, regardless of whether they were standard grip or reverse grip.

The highly effective Dog Catcher is not the only thing this DVD is about. It is highly instructional about knowing the realities and responses that are truly available at different distances of adversary contact out on the street. Your survival chances are immensely enhanced if you know yourself and your capabilities at these various ranges because the distance and pressure determines whether empty hands or the firearm are the appropriate response. Too many LEOs over the years have gotten stabbed while trying to access a firearm at a range when empty hands first, and then accessing would have been an appropriate response. Or they executed an ineffective defensive tactics technique against the knife learned during training.

I consider this DVD set (3 DVDs I might add) to be an invaluable source of information to LEOs and citizens alike, especially those who have not spent their lives fighting and training in combatives, who want to truly prevail in a street encounter, and who want to be more prepared across the spectrum for the possibilities/probabilties these encounters might consist of in the real world. Crafty Dog has distilled years and years of fighting experience into an immediately useable and effective format that could make a difference between life and death today.
